Form W7 and Which address to send completed Form W7?
The US TAX ID or ITIN stands for Individual Tax Identification Number which is an identification for Foreign Nationals with US-based income filing 1040NR, who have a USA based business LLC/LLP, or US Citizens who are married to non-US citizen/foreign person filing 1040 federal tax return with jointly filing status. In order to obtain the ITIN number you need to complete FormW7 accurately and have your passport certified by IRS Acceptance Agents if you do not want to send your original passport to IRS or you can send your original passport along with the ITIN Application.
